SPR25 Spring on the East Coast

Cruise the Suffolk, Essex and Kent coasts and rivers in one or two Jeanneau 36i performance yachts from Suffolk Yacht Haven, Levington.    Good Friday PM 18th April  16-00  to Friday  25th April  16-30.   4  Berths available per Yacht in three private cabins and saloon.

Just enjoy some crewing or perhaps achieve some of the  practical  experience requirements of the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Practical Exam by acting as skipper for a day or two.  The later for those already holding Coastal Yachtmaster Theory, Day Skipper Practical or ICC,   The acting skipper would be the person nominated and responsible for the planning and execution of a passage including yacht and watch management. The acting skipper will not be the most experienced or qualified person on board.   They would have the responsibility for the safe execution of the passage undertaken under the watchful eyes of the qualified skipper.

Frosty Feb Suffolk Yacht Haven

Preferred destinations,  given the longer daylight hours of a late Easter,  will be Ramsgate,  Isle of Sheppey/Queenborough, Chatham and the National Maritime Museum.    Shorter passage options would be  to Ipswich/River Orwell,  Burnham-On-Crouch, Bradwell on Sea, Brightlingsea,  Harwich ((Halfpenny pier) and River Stour.

We have chartered one yacht that is now FULLY BOOKED. Should we have further interest and be able to take an identical second yacht there will be a berth price reduction for all as we will qualify for a reduced charter fee. Accordingly the Sailex will remain open for provisional bookings and members will be advised if there is sufficient interest to charter a second yacht. The lead Skipper is Paul Ratcliffe and current berth fee is £450.
