The Sailex will be an opportunity to explore the East Coast from Suffolk Yacht Harbour, Levington near Ipswich on the Orwell.  Overnighting/passage options include home port, Ipswich, Shotley Gate,  Brightlingsea, Bradwell on Sea and  Burnham on Crouch to the Thames.    A more challenging but quiet area the aim is to give ample time and opportunity to brush up on Navigation and Seamanship on short passages and during exploration of the rivers and estuaries (tidal and other conditions permitting).   Mainly catering on board but 3 to 4 informal evening meals ashore if possible.    

We have options on two Jeanneau 36i Fin Keel,  2.1m Draft,  High Performance variants from East Anglian Sea School.   At this time we have committed to charter both of the Jeanneau yachts.  These offer comfortable layouts for 4 people.

The Orwell

This sailex will be a Saturday to Friday event, the berth fee will be £420 per member, for four on board each yacht. As of 1st November the first yacht became fully booked. Interest continued and we were able to add the second yacht. The second yacht has recently become FULLY BOOKED and we have opened the booking page to members wishing to add their names to a waiting list. Should a booked member have to withdraw we will contact those on the waiting list, in the first instance, to ascertain if they wish to make a formal booking.
