HOW TO BOOK YOUR TRIP

Sailex bookings can be made for one or more of the advertised events by clicking the “2025 Sailex Booking Form” link below. This is a Google form and will only show the events that have berths available, should a sailex become fully booked there is an option to add your name to a waiting list for contact should a member have to withdraw from a fully booked event. NON Members of TOG are welcome to sign up to any of these trips but will be required to join the group as a new member at an additional cost of £20.00 for the first full year. Annual membership fees are currently £15 when paid by standing order. Following acceptance of the booking TOG will invoice the applicant for the initial booking deposit and set a date for final payment of the Sailex berth fee. Note:- your accepted booking commits you to full payment of the sailex, unless the sailex is cancelled by TOG (see booking conditions under the “Members / Forms” tab of this web site), or the berth is filled by another member of the group. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover your committed costs. TOG offer these events at the negotiated discounted cost to the group and failure to honour the final payment results in the wider membership picking up the costs from our reserves. PEM18 Pembrokeshire and the Scilly Isles Lead Skipper Alan Mortimore

Sailing from Neyland in Pembrokeshire offers access to a number of fine wild life and sailing areas. In late August / early September 2018 we have chartered two 37/38ft yachts to sail from Milford Haven to explore the Scilly Isles. Stopovers could include Padstow and a visit to Lundy Island.

This option could involve long passages and night sailing is likely. Weather and wind will dictate whether other options need to be considered such as north Wales, southern Ireland or calling in to locations on the north and south coast of the Bristol channel.

This Sailex will have 5 berths per yacht - 10 in total and costs will be £300 per berth to include an optional outboard engine for the dinghy on each yacht. Members pre-registering for this sailex were offered the opportunity to book and 8 places have been taken leaving two berths available for the remaining membership. We are exploring the option of adding a third yacht but at the present time there is no availability. As of January 2018 we are now fully booked on this Sailex and reservations are open for a standby berth.

The Isles Of Scilly

Lying west of Land's End the Scilly Isles are a haven of tranquillity. Basking in a micro climate caused by the gulfstream, the white sparkling sands and crystal clear waters create a paradise which is closer than you think. With over a dozen anchorages in the archipelago to choose from and the ever changing Atlantic Ocean all around, no Scillies trip is ever the same.
